The Board Bulletin – January

Hi Centennial students! We hope you’re staying warm and cozy and taking it easy during this winter season!

From winter orientations to the festivities of Lunar New Year, here’s a quick recap of what the first month of the year looked like for us.

Elections 2025/26

The 2025/2026 Student Board of Directors elections are underway, and we want you to participate! Whether you choose to run for a position or make an informed vote on March 20 and 21, your student voice matters.

Visit CCSAI.ca/Elections to learn more.

We are ready to pass the torch to the incoming Board of Directors who’ll carry on the foundation laid by us for the 5-Year Strategic Plan.

Updates to current Bylaws and Policies

We are currently making amendments to our existing bylaws and policies to ensure more transparency and engagement for our membership.  These changes will be proposed for approval by you during the upcoming Special General Meeting!

Special General Meeting and All Candidates Forum

Attend the Special General Meeting (SGM) and give your input on CCSAI’s 5-year strategic plan and proposed bylaw changes. You, the students, have a say in how we operate!

After the SGM, meet the candidates for the 2025/26 Board of Directors at the All-Candidates Forum on March 13! The candidates will present their ideas and goals if elected to the Board, followed by a Q&A session, where you can submit questions for the candidates.

Make an informed decision this election season and vote for the candidates who align with your interests, empowering you to make an informed decision during the elections.

Health Plan deadline

Attention domestic students! Don’t forget to add in a dependent or opt out from the domestic health plan provided by WeSpeakStudents before February 7 at 4:00 p.m.

Please note that students may only opt out of the plan during their first semester of study and provide proof of existing, comparable coverage.

Winter Orientations

Winter semester is here! We were all around, connecting with students and getting to know the new faces we were so excited to represent. We welcome you to a life of opportunities at Centennial and of course, to your Student Association.

Frost Week

We enjoyed meeting each one of you during the Frost week across all campuses over a cup of coffee or a quick game. We indeed felt the frost melt away with your smiles and warm presence.

Lunar New Year

On January 29, we welcomed the year of the snake and enjoyed some snacks and treats, got some red envelopes. The wonderful Lion Dance got everyone ready to welcome the new year with prosperity and gratitude.

With all the ongoing uncertainty and changes in the rules we need you to know that we are here for you. Book an appointment to meet your board of directors HERE.
