The Board Bulletin – August

Hello Centennial students! We’re excited to see you begin your journey towards success this Fall semester!

Wellness Week

Centre for Accessible Learning and Counselling Services (CALCS) in partnership with CCSAI, recently hosted a Wellness Week dedicated to promoting student well-being. The week was a great success, providing students with valuable tools and support to help maintain their well-being throughout the academic year. The therapy dogs, sweet treats, free massages and care packages were the highlights of the event! 😊

At Work with Canadian Alliance of Student Associations (CASA)

  • CASA National Advocacy Meeting: We discussed the development of a new “advocacy guidebook” designed to equip delegates with practical tips, strategies, and knowledge to advocate effectively for their students. The meeting also covered the upcoming CSG campaign, outlining its goals, potential challenges, and strategies for success.
  • CASA Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee Meeting: Focused on advancing initiatives that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion within student advocacy. This included reviewing current practices, setting new goals, and strategizing on how to better support marginalized groups.

At Work with Ontario Student Voices (OSV)

President Ajane Adams represented us at the OSV Board Meeting where they discussed key topics regarding reviewing the effectiveness of our collaboration with OSV and ensuring that advocacy efforts align with our priorities.
