Hey there! If you’re a Centennial student about to graduate, congratulations! Before you officially graduate and get your diploma, there are a few important things you need to do. Here’s a simple guide to help you make sure everything’s in order.
Apply to Graduate
Make sure you apply to graduate by March 18. You can do this online through MyCentennial. Before you apply, double-check that you’ve completed all your academic requirements by doing a degree audit.
Get your grad photos taken
Don’t forget to capture this special moment with a graduation photo! We’ve teamed up with Phoenix Pro Labs to take your pictures. Photo sessions will be available from March 4 to April 26, 2024. Book your appointment early because spots fill up quickly! Book your appointment HERE.
Invite your loved ones
Share this milestone with your family and friends! If your loved ones need to visit Canada for the graduation ceremony, they might need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). You’ll also need to write a letter inviting them to the ceremony, and we can help you get that letter notarized via our Legal Services. Check out this guide to review the requirements for your invitation letter.

Make sure your info and fees are up-to-date
To get your diploma, make sure you do not have any outstanding fees, fines, books or equipment on your Centennial account and ensure that your mailing address on your records is correct. Learn more HERE.
For international students: Check your study permit and passport expiry dates. Your study permit should be valid for a few months after your last class, and your passport should be valid for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) application.
