Join CCSAI, The Eighth Fire, and our Indigenous Student Representatives as we come together to honour and celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day at the Na-Ma-Res Pow Wow. This vibrant community gathering features traditional drumming, dancing, craft and food vendors, cultural teachings, and more.

Date: Saturday, June 21
Location: Garrison Common, outside the historic fort – 250 Fort York Boulevard, Toronto, Ontario
Noon – Grand Entry with the Na-Me-Res Pow Wow Host Steve Teekens (Ensure to arrive ahead of the 12:00 PM Grand Entry)
4 p.m. – Na-Me-Res Pow Wow Closing Ceremony
Round-trip transportation is available from your preferred Centennial College campus
Transportation Details:
We’re offering free round-trip transportation to and from Garrison Common, departing from your preferred Centennial College campus—register by June 18 at 11:00 AM to secure your seat!
On your registration for you will select your preferred departure campus. You will be sent an Uber Transportation Voucher eligible for transportation between your preferred Centennial College campus and the Fort York Historic Site. Please be sure you provide us with the correct phone number and email to receive your Uber voucher.

The Pow Wow grounds is a sacred space. Please be respectful and take note of the following:
- Listen to the Na-Me-Res Host to understand protocols. The Host will note when to stand, e.g. during the Grand Entry, when to remove your hat and when it is okay to take photos.
- Always ask permission before taking photos of dancers in regalia.
- Never touch a dancer’s regalia.
- Smoking is considered disrespectful in the Pow Wow circle.
- Alcohol, drugs and firearms are not permitted.
- No dogs please. Service animals are exempt.
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
