Your Path to Leadership

Step-by-Step Guide to Joining the CCSAI Board

Hey Centennial Fam!

Are you ready to step up and make your mark on campus? Joining the CCSAI Student Board of Directors is your chance to lead, advocate, and shape the future.

Let’s walk through a step-by-step guide to join the board. We’ve also outlined the process in this video here.

Step 1: Head to the Elections Webpage
Visit CCSAI.ca/Elections to start your journey. Familiarize yourself with the roles available and review eligibility requirements.

Step 2: Pick a Role & Verify Eligibility
Select a role that aligns with your campus of study and ensure you meet all eligibility requirements by checking the job description.

Step 3: Start Your Nomination Application
Click View Nomination Application and dive into the online form. Read carefully and use the Nominations Checklist to gather necessary information.

Step 4: Collect Nomination Signatures
Download the Nomination Signature Package from the elections resources on the webpage. Collect signatures from 50 students, with half from your campus. Aim for 60 to 70 for good measure.

Step 5: Finish Your Online Application

Complete the online form, upload your signature package, and hit submit. For valuable feedback on your application, submit it before the pre-check deadline on January 31, 2024. The elections coordinator will review your application and provide feedback if there is scope for improvement.

Bonus Tip: Nominations are open from January 15 to February 7, 2024. You have until February 7 at 4:00 PM to submit your final application.

Step 6: Await Confirmation and Get Ready

After submission, our elections team will review your package. If confirmed, you’ll be invited to an All Candidates meeting on February 9, 2024.

Best of luck this elections season! We’re excited to welcome new leaders aboard. Your journey to leadership starts now!
