Support Staff Strike Update: A strike has been called by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU), representing full-time support staff at colleges across Ontario. All CCSAI services and facilities will continue to operate as scheduled. Classes will continue and the College remains operational. Please monitor the Centennial College website for updates.

City of Toronto - Nuit Blanche

The Youth Advisory Group at the Zero Hunger Project is working to develop an Ontario Chapter World Food Forum (WFF). This initiative is hosted by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UN FAO) and is a global Volunteer with Nuit Blanche Toronto 2025! Saturday October 4th from Sunset to Sunrise

Toronto’s all-night celebration of contemporary art returns from sunset on October 4 to sunrise on October 5. Expanding to include exhibitions along Downtown Toronto, Etobicoke at Humber Polytechnic Lakeshore Campus and North York around Mel Lastman Square. Volunteers are integral to the success of Nuit Blanche Toronto. It’s one of the most unique volunteer opportunities in the City! One night only, all night long.

Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities

The Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities is seeking volunteers who are passionate about dedicating their time and talents to tackle local challenges and foster community unity. By participating, volunteers will contribute to a collective effort in caring for one another.

Available volunteer opportunities are under the following programs:

  • Reception Management
  • Food Bank
  • Adult Day Program
  • Meals on Wheels Driver / Runner Volunteer
  • EarlyON Centre
  • Palliative Care
  • Grief & Bereavement
  • Friendly Visiting Program

To be eligible, volunteers must:

  • Commit to 6+ months (3-4 hours/week)
  • Be 19+ years of age
  • Have proficiency in English
  • Complete online training
  • Provide two references
  • Submit a clear Vulnerable Sector police check (at their expense)

B.E.S.T. Program Volunteer

The CASA Foundation is launching the B.E.S.T. Program—a free national initiative to equip Canadian youth (ages 15–30) with essential career and life skills through volunteer service, mentorship, and flexible learning.
They seeking volunteers and partners to:
  • Lead engaging workshops on topics like mental wellness, leadership, sustainability, and civic engagement
  • Support 10-week online learning in areas such as entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and digital marketing
  • Mentor youth by offering career guidance, industry insights, and support
Requirements: Passion for youth development, relevant experience in your topic area, and a willingness to engage remotely or in person.

World Food Forum - Ontario Chapter

The Youth Advisory Group at the Zero Hunger Project is working to develop an Ontario Chapter World Food Forum (WFF). This initiative is hosted by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UN FAO) and is a global youth-led platform driving agri-food systems change from the local to global level!
They are hoping to build a network, across Ontario, of youth interested in food security, agriculture, sustainability, policy-making, community development, and youth empowerment, with the goal of fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and driving local and systemic change.
