The Reuse Exchange Program
Centennial students can exchange unused single-use cutlery for a reusable set at any CCSAI office while supplies last (limited quantities – 1 per student max). The exchange program will kick off on March 20 until April 20, or while quantities last!
Bring your single-use cutlery to our office to be recycled or reused, and take home a brand-new wheat fibre reusable cutlery set while quantities last (max 1 set per Centennial student).

The Reuse Challenge – How to Enter:
- Collect your own recycled plastics or pick up recycled plastic materials from a CCSAI office.
- Create something new using any single-use plastics (cutlery, shopping bags, straws, etc.)
- Submit a photo and description of your sustainable creation at CCSAI.ca/Reuse.

- Submissions must be made via the CCSAI website form, in its entirety.
- Entrants must be current students at Centennial College enrolled in a ministry-approved
program. - The submission should include a photo or video of the sustainable creation along with a
description of materials used, and the new use of the creation. - Entrants’ creation must be made from 80% of reused single use plastics.
- Single use plastics can include: i. Plastic Bags
- Stir Sticks
- Six-Pack Rings iv. Plastic Bottle
- Plastic Utensils
- Hard to Recycle Food Containers
- Straws
- Other Single-Use Plastic Materials
- Submissions must be made by the contest deadline of April 20, 2023 at 4:00 pm.
- By entering the competition, the entrant acknowledges that the submitted artwork is an original work created solely by the entrant.
- Entrant affirms that the artwork does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
- The final selection of winners will be made by a panel of judges curated by the CCSAI.

It’s really simple! Use any single-use plastics (cutlery, shopping bags, straws, etc.) to create something new that is functional or creative! You can pick up recyclable material from a CCSAI office or use your own. Then simply make your creation and submit a photo or video along with a description of your sustainable creation for your chance to win.
This contest is supported and will be scored by Sustainability Centennial and the Environmental Students Society.
