We asked our students to create a self-portrait that reflects who they are.
Here are our top portraits!
“Early February of 2020, I was accepted into a Master of Science program at Boston University. I struggled immensely deciding between continuing in science or pursuing my passion in design. Fast forward a few months, and I’m in Centennial’s Interactive Media Management program. This digital self-portrait reflects my transition from science into design as I challenge my creative abilities and build my toolkit at Centennial. I am only at the beginning of my journey, but it’s truly gratifying to be down a path you know is meant for you.” – Nancy Ung
“I wanted to make a pop art interpretation of a photo I had before I chopped my hair.” – Cindy Rivera
“With the rise of the game industry and the number of players, I need to choose and pick my character each game I play. This self-portrait is inspired by that process, deciding how I look like when I play the game in this world.”
“Here, I portray myself with satisfaction in my eyes, after achieving all the heights and desire in my life. It is me today – Pretty, Happy & Optimistic about future.” – Krinal Dudhat
