The benefits of dance for mental, emotional and physical wellness are huge! Whether you’re a rhythmic pro and lacking rhythm, this workshop is open to all experience levels. Join Katelyn in this virtual dance workshop, exploring the movement of hip-hop and its connections to mental wellness.

Katelyn Bernard is a dancer and teacher who has developed her craft in hip-hop choreography. Growing up, dance was introduced to Katelyn at a very young age from her Guyanese side. Though Katelyn also grew up listening to and consuming hip-hop culture, It wasn’t until high school that Katelyn began to take Hip Hop dance seriously. It ignited a passion that she continues to carry through her teaching and training. Training/performing thoroughly in Hip Hop under “School of Groove,” training under mentor Monica Fern aka “Knives” for krump, and actively training in dancehall programs such as “Always Good Vibes” has allowed Katelyn to develop further her skill set and range as a dancer, performer, and mentor. You can see the influence of all of these styles in Katelyn’s teachings.
