Domestic Health Plan Referendum
The Results Are In…
Centennial’s Domestic Students Opt To Keep Their Current Plan.
February 21st was decision day on the Domestic Health Plan. Polls were open all day at each of the four main campuses and Centennial’s students came out to vote on a new, more comprehensive health and dental plan. While there was considerable interest in the plan, with over 85% of votes cast in favour of the proposed plan, the referendum fell shy of reaching the minimum required votes for the results to be valid. By virtue of this, Centennial’s domestic students have decided to maintain their current coverage.
We are always looking for ways to improve our services and to make certain we are offering the best services we can for Centennial students. Days like the 21st are a big part of that process. Thank you to our board that built and promoted the proposal, thank you to our partners for their support in building and promoting the plan and thank you to all the students who came out to have their say!
