As you may be aware, we held a referendum earlier this year to increase our benefit plan, however unfortunately there were not enough votes cast to allow us to move forward with it.

Knowing there is a gap in coverage for a number of our students, we recently re-tendered our benefit plan to try to increase benefits within the current fee structure; and are happy to announce that we will be launching an updated plan in September that will now include dental and vision coverage. Specifics are still being finalized. Check back into our Health Plan page for details as they’re released.

Until the new plan becomes active…

Students may submit claims under the current plan, incurred prior to September 1, 2017 to Medavie Blue Cross.  All eligible claims must be received by December 1, 2017.
· Claims made ahead of September 1st can be submitted via the standard claim process, including the member portal and mobile app.
· Claims submitted after September 1st must be submitted via mail, fax, or e-mail. The member portal and mobile app will not be available as of September 1, 2017.
