The Centre for Women and Trans People and LGBTOUT present...

"SEAHORSE SOCIAL": a unique collaborative pub night creating space for queer women and allies. This event is trans inclusive.

Date & Time: Thursday, January 28, 2010

10:00 pm - 3:00 am

Location: Gladaman's Den - 502 Yonge Street

Seahorse Social: Our habits may be going extinct but tonight, this space is ours!

Seahorses are primarily threatned by fishing practices, particularly by non-selective trawling methods that rake the sea bottom indiscriminately.

Metaphors...connections...reclaiming...

From Drag Kings to Dance Party. From a quiet pub space in the front to a raging dance and performance space in the back. Something for everyone! This party is one of the few spaces offering a queer student space carved out in downtown Toronto. (Close to but off the U of T campus).

NO COVER!

AMAZING DRINK SPECIALS ALL NIGHT!

$2 MINIDRAFTS!

There will also be a fundraiser for Haiti.

Gladaman's Den is just north of Alexander street on Yonge Street and is very close to College Station. The bar also has a licensed smoking patio.

This event is 19+. Please bring valid ID. Unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible.

The Seahorse Social occurs the last Thursday of every month. This is the first event - join in and help shape it through your presense, ideas and energy.
