Tentative Agreement between OPSEU and College Employer Council

A tentative agreement has been made between Ontario Public Service Employees Union, representing college faculty, and the College Employers Council!

Colleges and faculty have agreed upon the following terms for the contract:
– Faculty wages frozen over the two-year period covered by the contract
– Eligible faculty would still move through the pay grid
– Any benefits would stay the same
– No concessions have been asked of faculty

What does this mean for you?

How to Post a Used Book

Are you selling used books on ccsai.ca? Be sure that you complete the following steps before you hit “send”!

1) Create an account. You’ll find on the home page a “Register Today” Button (right under “contacts” at the top right of your screen).

2) Click on the red Used Books tab on the top of your screen.

3) Click the red “Post a Book” link on the right hand side.

4) Fill in all fields, including the image field. An incomplete posting will prompt an error message and will not be posted.

5) HINT: Be sure to include your contact info – either an email address or phone number...

Pre-Registering for Your TTC Photo ID

Want to have your TTC Student Photo ID taken care of on-campus?

The TTC will be in the AWC on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pre-registering is easy – you can do it here; it only takes a couple of seconds.

But what do I need to bring?
– current and valid Centennial College student photo ID or valid government-issued ID.
– $7 (cash only, exact change)
– that’s it!

Try a Free Group Personal Training Class

The AWC is proud to introduce Group Personal Training classes! Group Personal Training is fitness training in a small group format and lead by one of our personal trainers, available for free until September 13, 2012.

The format is comparable to a boot camp or circuit training-style class, and sessions are open to all levels of participants.

Instructors will modify any work necessary to be adaptable to beginners, intermediate and advanced level participants. If you find that you need help during the class, just ask and the trainer will be happy to assist you.

AWC in August – Update

Please note that the AWC gymnasium will remain closed for the month of August. Campus Recreation will be taking place outdoors for the month (see the schedule here).

The AWC Fitness Centre, squash courts and ping pong will be available during this time, and we will continue to offerfree services including fitness consultations and the Learn 2 Run program.
